Have you ever wondered what would happen if you took a very big engine, and installed it into a very tiny pickup truck? Me neither, but it looks like the good boys at Bravado have satisfied our curiosity. What’s the result? Absolutely terrifying.

Power

The Bravado Rat Truck hits harder than Bruce Banner on an off day. Push the happy pedal and you’ll be riding a wave of fear and adrenaline. It accelerates off the line with absolute authority. Light up the tires before setting off and you better be paying attention. The Bravado Rat Truck accelerates faster than the phrase, “Eh, I guess I’ll just have one drink.” It sneaks up on you having no good intentions whatsoever.

Handling

It’s non-existent. Seriously. This thing handles about as well as DC fans upon release of the Green Lantern. If you’re into this thing full throttle and braking isn’t an option, you better have one more wish available on the back burner. Evasive maneuvers aren’t on the menu here. Sure, you can turn the wheel, but it won’t do you much good. You’d have better luck explaining particle physics to a tortoise. Even though they are very wise creatures they’re not going to be speaking English anytime soon. Low and slow is the way of the world in the Bravado Rat Truck.

Braking

The Bravado Rat Truck doesn’t really do much of that either. You don’t really break in this car but, suggest that the speed should decrease. Whether the speed decreases in a reasonable time frame is totally out of the question. The brakes work, but in the same way as getting your boss coffee every morning is “work”. The brakes are just there because they can’t legally sell it to you without them.

The Looks

This particularly Bravado Rat Truck seems to be missing, well, the complete front end of the vehicle. Although, that beautiful blown V8 sitting up front is quite a sight to behold. Man does this thing look mean. The flat black really does the Bravado Rat Truck justice, and the wooden pickup bed is quite a nice touch.

Value

The Bravado Rat Tuck will set you back $37,500. It’s ridiculously cheap for the thrills that it offers. On the contrary, that may seem like quite the sum for essentially an engine in a tin can. How about its competitors? Well, it’s cheaper than the Vapid Slamvan, which is more of a 50s style pickup built in a time where people respected their neighbors. At $49,500, you’ve got to really love the era that brought you the inventions of super glue and the bar code.

Conclusion

The Bravado Rat Truck is a mean, lean fighting machine that you don’t want to mess with. It’s the epitome of cheap and cheerful. Whether you’re purchasing it to meander around town or embarrass some super cars, the Bravado Rat Truck is one special little truck that could.
