The Atmosphere

It’s exactly what you’re expecting in a traditional burger joint. There’s no unnecessary fluff when it comes to the decor. Rustic is the first word that comes to mind. On the left wall as soon as you walk in are pictures of every burger they have on the menu. Some say it’s difficult to photograph food, and I would agree with them. A lot of establishments use some illusions to make their offerings look more appealing than they really are. However, every picture on the wall is a true representation of what you’ll get. There’s no commercial trickery here, and that’s something I respect entirely. The pictures make no apologies. If you want some hearty American burgers you’ve certainly come to the right place.

The Food

So, the OMG burger is 1 pound of meat topped with onions, mushrooms, bacon, cheese, and any other topping of your choice. There’s something glorious about seeing this much meat in front of you. There’s nothing like a good “ooze” that’ll get your mouth watering. It’s a bit menacing and intimidating when it first comes out, but anyone up for a challenge will love this beast. So, how does this Goliath taste? One bite of this patty and a stream a juice shoots out like confetti. It’s so wonderful. When I’m in the mood for a burger, I’m looking for something that takes effort to consume. I want to dig into that patty like it disrespected me. The OMG burger completely delivers here. it’s complimented by the bacon, cheese, and onions. By the way, onions are one thing they do extremely well here. They’re perfectly sautéed with just that little hint if caramelization. You get that little bit of crunch as well and it really makes for a tasty bite. However, every aspect of the experience wasn’t all rainbows and unicorns. Once you get about halfway through the burger you start to realize something. Is this burger tasty or am I just tasting everything around it? Or has the hunger just worn off? It starts to feel more and more like just a large piece of meat. There’s not much seasoning on the patty itself and it leaves you wanting a little bit more.

The Verdict

The OMG Burger is a true force to be reckoned with. It’s ideal to split one with your spouse if you’re planning on doing anything that requires movement for the rest of the day. It satisfies on so many levels. It looks amazing and tastes amazing during the initial stages. All that juice, cheese, and onions provide a great compliment to the patty. Since it is such a large piece of meat, it may start to feel a bit cumbersome and plain during the later stages. Still, the OMG Burger completely satisfies when it comes to a hearty appetite. Will you finish it all in one setting? Or will you send it home half-eaten in a box? The weak will not survive here…
